Hi everyone!

A few days ago, we achieved the second stage of our European project with the learning mobility to Carbet Middle School, in Martinique, from the1st to 11th of May 2015. Italian and Romanian students, teachers and head teachers from "Onisifor Ghibu" and "Camillo Golgi" high schools came to the island where they were welcomed by the whole school and town council community of Carbet. It has been a great pleasure for all participants to see one another again, exchange or meet for the first time but also to pursue our educational objectives in a Caribbean context.

A little bit of histroy all along the walk and ride by train through the ruins of Saint-Pierre which was destroyed by the eruption of the mountain Pelée on May 8th 1902. It was really nice to go for a swim to cool down and relax after such a long journey from Europe and a hot and sunny morning so typical of the tropical weather.

Those days in Martinique have been one of the most beautiful experiences ever! I got in touch with a new culture, a new lifestyle, and I also had the possibility to know amazing people with who I am still keeping in touch. I am so grateful to our Italian teachers who allowed us having this wonderful and unforgettable experience. ❤️
